Private mail monitoring
A simple check that mail gets through.
Mail Monitoring for personal project is a personal tool for checking the availability and delivery of the owner’s email service.
This is an informational website. There is no public registration, mailbox login or dashboard here. The monitoring service is currently being prepared.
What the application does
The planned service checks SMTP and IMAP connections and exchanges a small number of synthetic test messages between the owner’s mail server and a dedicated Gmail account, three times a day. It records whether messages arrive, their delay, and whether Gmail places them in spam.
Why Gmail access is requested
With the owner’s explicit OAuth consent, Gmail API access lets the application send test messages, find received tests, inspect their labels, archive them and move old tests to Trash. The requested permission applies to the whole connected Gmail mailbox, so only an account dedicated to monitoring should be connected.
Data and control
Only registered monitoring messages are intended to be processed. The owner can revoke Google access at any time. Read the Privacy Policy for access, storage, retention and sharing details, and the Terms of Use for the limits of the service.
